Harry S. Truman
Born May 8, 1884 and died December 26, 1972. He was the 33rd president of the U.S. and was president from 1945 to 1953. He was the vice president of president Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1944 to 1945 when he succeeded the president on April 12, when Roosevelt died after months of declining health. During his presidency he ordered atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945. Also Truman's presidency contributed a lot to to the U.S. threw many acts being passed, desegregation of the armed forces, along with the Truman doctrine to fight communism, the Marshall plan and NATO.
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Born on October 14, 1890 and died March 28, 1969. He was the 34th president of the U.S. and was president from 1953 to 1961. He sighed the federal aid highway act in 1956 which developed the interstate highways. He settled the Korean war and held a meeting with the Russian Premier Nikita Krushchev to ease tension with the soviet union. He also passed laws to improve math and science in public schools.
